WELCOME

“Eperience in Action. Passion for Parents. Vision for Students.”

I’m proud to call this community home. I attended Westmore Elementary, Spencer Vineyard Elementary, Vineyard Elementary, Lakeridge Jr. High, and Mountain View High School — and my children have followed that same path through Cherry Hill Elementary, Lakeridge Jr. High, and MVHS. This has given me a deep, personal understanding of our schools, our families, and the values that make this community so special.

From the time I was 17, I’ve worked for major corporations where I earned promotions into management roles. I’ve led diverse teams, developed training programs, and worked within structured budgets to ensure operations run smoothly and efficiently. I know how to lead with confidence, delegate effectively, and bring people together to reach shared goals.

Beyond my professional background, I’ve devoted years to serving through our PTA and School Community Councils. I’ve worked alongside teachers, administrators, and parents to review budgets, improve safety measures, and strengthen academic and extracurricular programs. I’ve also volunteered countless hours inside classrooms — assisting with reading groups, supporting teachers, organizing class activities, and helping students one-on-one when they needed extra attention.

As a mother, I’ve gained valuable perspective through my involvement in IEP (Individualized Education Plan) meetings for my own children. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of how critical communication and teamwork are between families, educators, and specialists. I’ve seen firsthand the challenges and successes that come from ensuring every student receives the resources and support they need to thrive.

My passion has always been to create schools that not only educate but also uplift — where every student is seen, every teacher is supported, and every parent feels heard. I believe in conservative family and community values and in managing taxpayer dollars with transparency, care, and respect.

As our new district takes shape, we have an incredible opportunity to set a strong foundation — one that honors families, supports educators, and puts students first. With my leadership experience, understanding of our schools, and the heart of a dedicated mother, I’m ready to serve and help build a district we can all be proud of.

Experience in Action. Passion for Parents. Vision for Students.

You are so kind with your endorsement. The staff at Cherry Hill Elementary was and are incredible to work with. You were amazing to work with!

“I am writing to express my enthusiastic support for Cara Witt Kretschmer as a candidate for the School Board, Seat 7. As a long-standing member of our community and a deeply involved parent, Cara exemplifies the dedication, insight, and collaborative spirit that our schools and students need.

All eight of Cara’s children have attended Cherry Hill Elementary, which falls within Seat 7. Over the years, she has been a consistent and tireless advocate for quality education—serving actively in the PTA, volunteering in classrooms, and supporting teachers and staff in countless meaningful ways. Her presence in the school has not only benefited her own children but has enriched the entire Cherry Hill community.

Cara understands firsthand the vital role that engaged parents play in the health and success of a school. She believes, as many of us do, that strong partnerships between families and educators are the foundation for vibrant classrooms and thriving students. Her decades of involvement reflect a deep respect for teachers, a commitment to listening to parents, and a passion for making sure every child is seen and supported.

As someone who knows what it means to be on the front lines of school life—attending meetings, organizing events, and advocating for resources—Cara brings both experience and heart to the table. She will represent Seat 7 with the same integrity, energy, and thoughtfulness she’s shown in every role she’s taken on.

Our schools need leaders who understand the daily realities our educators and families face. I am confident that Cara Witt Kretschmer will be a voice for parents, a partner to teachers, and a champion for students across our district.”

Sincerely,

Alisa Hart

I believe your school district is at a turning point—an opportunity to move forward, heal, and build a unified public school system.
